Polar Lands Biome
ClimateThis biome is one of the coldest biomes that is really dry and often really windy. This biome can be considered a marine ecosystem that often contains little plant life. This wold be the case because many plant lives would struggle in growing because of the cold temperature.

AnimalsThe animals who live in this biome includes the polar bear, whale, arctic fox, arctic wolf, pacific salmon and the brown bear and more. These animals would have big fur coats and thick skin to have adapted to the cold and windy climate.

PlantsThe plants found that grow in this biome includes the arctic willow, pasque flower, bearberry, purple saxifrage, arctic poppy, cotton grass and more. These plants would have struggled to grow and as stated before there is little plant life because of the cold weather.

LocationThe polar lands is located in Antartica but mostly south of the Antarctic circle. This is the smallest continent of the Antarctic Circle and is all covered in ice

Man Made and Natural Disaster- Climate is slowly increasing which causes altering of the arctic habitats.
- Humans are fishing too many of the fish surrounding Antartica which is causing some species to become endangered and extinct. - Pollution of the Arctic ocean is causing many animals to move and breaking the food chain. - Oil and gas development is destroying the habitats for the animals. |
