Desert Biome
ClimateThe desert biome is an extremely hot and dry environment during the day although it gets very cold during the night. This biome is one of the driest places on earth and there is less than 10 inches that occurs every year.

AnimalsThe animals that live in this biome must adapt to the intense heat and the lack of water. The animals that live in this biome includes the armadillo lizard, desert tortoise, water-holding frog, camel, desert kangaroo rat, thorny devil.

PlantsThe plants that live and grow in this biome includes mojave aster, cactus, soaptree yucca, brittle bush, jumping cholla and many more. These plants would struggle in growing since there is lack of water in this biome.

LocationThe desert biome covers about 1/5 of the Earths surface. Many desert biomes are found in North Africa and South Western America. The desert is also found in Australia and Mexico.
