Mountain Vegetation Biome
ClimateThis biome is extremely cold and has long winter periods. This biome is so cold because of its cold altitudes. It is s cold and dry throughout the whole year which proves that the animals and plants would have needed to adapt.

AnimalsThe animals found in this biome is the alpaca, andean condor, chinchilla, llama, mountain goat, snow leopard, vicuna, yak and more. These animals have thick coats of fur showing that this is how they adapt to the cold weather.

PlantsThe plants that grow on the biome tend to grow own and hug the earth for warmth. These plants include Alpine Phacelia, Bear Grass, Bristlecone Pine, Moss Campion, Polylepis Forest, Pygmy Bitterroot and more.

LocationThese biomes are located all around the world on mountains which have high altitudes where trees can’t grow. The mountain vegetation biome is found in the largest mountain ranges all over the world such as the Rockies, Sierra, Cascade, Andes, Himalayas, Alps and the Pyrenees. There is many more just only to name a few.
